A royal week
It’s been a huge royal week full of enthusiasm and joy on the Elizabeth line
It’s been a huge royal week full of enthusiasm and joy on the Elizabeth line.
The excitement started last Thursday, when we hosted the Prince and Princess of Wales on one of our services. The couple boarded an Elizabeth line train at Acton Main Line, where they discussed what it’s like to be part of the Elizabeth line with our very own 345 Manager David Pearce, Uniforms and Equipment Supply Manager Julie Watson, Driver Carinne Spinola and Customer Experience Assistant Cameron Finch, as well as colleagues from TfL.
On Saturday, we carried thrilled customers into central London where they enjoyed many of the Coronation festivities taking place throughout the day. Our smiling Customer Experience Assistants and Community Ambassadors were joined by our many MTR Elizabeth line volunteers who were on hand to provide a friendly welcome, with thousands of very popular crowns and flags distributed to customers.
Then on Sunday, we conveyed customers heading to street parties along the Elizabeth line, as well as those travelling to the Coronation Concert, with the Elizabeth line connecting with Great Western Railway (GWR)’s service to Windsor & Eton Central at Slough.
To all our customers who trusted us to get them to their destinations over the weekend, thank you for choosing to travel with us.
