Golden Spanner Awards
Award winners!
We are honoured to have received two awards at the 2022 Golden Spanner Awards – a Silver award for our Class 345s in the Second Generation new EMU category, and a Bronze award for the Class 315s in the Ex BR EMU category.
The annual ‘Spanners’ event sees the rolling stock sector meet to celebrate improvements in train maintenance practices and reliability.
Three categories of trophy are awarded: Gold for best in class; Silver for most improved; and Bronze for the fastest incident recovery.
Figures are calculated using Miles per Technical Incident (MTIN) Moving Annual Average data, a TIN being recorded where a train is stopped for three minutes or more due to a rolling stock issue. Trains are broken down into categories based on age and type.
